Overcome network performance challenges with WAN Optimization

Solving Bandwidth  / Application Latency from Cloud Infrastructures

WAN Optimization
Problems you might relate with:
Bandwidth capacity or lack of it, can impact the end users Cloud Computing / Application experience. Private lines are more expensive than public lines, and as companies expand, IT administrators are challenged to resolve high latency and excess bandwidth usage.
Mission critical applications require higher priority because they require adequate bandwidth.

Maybe you already employ an MPLS or other private line service, to access your cloud data centres, but there is still the risk of an outage by that provider / link. Smaller offices may only use Internet-based connectivity to access these data centres, and will need the ability to failover in the event the primary internet line fails.
In both scenarios, it is a popular consideration to acquire some inexpensive Internet broadband based lines, to ensure uptime for office requiring access to cloud services.

One solution would be to ‘aggregate’ two or more lines from public internet service providers, using a WAN optimisation appliance. These appliances also provide high availability and auto line failover in the even one of the ISP’s line / networks fail.
By aggregating multiple lines together, you are able to serve more data, maintain speeds, thus fix QoS (quality of service) for business critical applications, ensuring an always good end user experience.

WAN Optimisation Solutions Deliver

- Secure VPN over DS3, T1, E3, E1, DSL, wireless and cable lines

- Increased bandwidth

- Bi-directional load balancing (lines and VPNs)

- Provide redundancy and high –availability

- QoS for your data lines

- Optimise and ensure high data rates for your applications over your WAN

- De-duplication (e.g. 400 mbps of LAN traffic becomes 4- mbps on the WAN)

Site Load Balancing –provide resiliency and continuity for cloud computing across multiple sites

- Ensure the secure and fast delivery of replication data between data centres

- Increase geographic distances between data centres

- Meet Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)

- VMware VDI / Virtual Desktop performance acceleration
